Fox is showing some BS movie with Tim Allen and the much washed up Chevy Chase instead of KOTH tonight. So TCM is showing High Noon, one of the great ones. Somehow, I don't feel up to it, given who we chose as President last fall. Also got e-mail about an argument between two classmates at college. Each arguing some truther BS and about Obama's great RTWC and how they need to stick it to da man. Sad. Not worthy of Gary Coopers great performance, or theme.

The Thrill is Gone
From football. Browns in rebuilding mode, and they need basic offense and defense. So all the bigmouth sportstalkers can stuff it. Right now. OSU similar, except they have a great QB but this looks like JoPa's year amd WGAS becuz here come the SEC guys to give us noogies. Hard to get whoopsed up. Countdown to taking daughter to NYC continues with me driviing and the ex navigating. Yeow.
Hey, if they could give Cotton Hill a sendoff in General Patton's dumper, what would it take to get flushed down the commode of the late, great Woody Hayes? Just sayin'.

Rough week. Headcutcount Friday at work. Not my department, but some guys I worked with for a long time. We knew these would be coming, but it still sux. Wrapped up the post-graduation hoohah with the school in a busy as hell Monday and Tuesday with the assistance of an attorney. Lawyers. Don't leave home without them. Then Tuesday night got up from a deep sleep when my back went out. Thursday PM it was so bad that I got meds on Friday, which are working nicely, thank you very much. The weekend was better, althoug Frinite was irritating all around.
Listening to Creedence CR now. It fits.
Up next, nurse the back back to health, drop off the kid at college. Then get cracking on recovery from latest girlfriend. Then simultaneously get serious about putting points on the board on the backup technlogy, for any possible job hunt.

Midpoint
Summer transportation job transporting the papoose is at the midpoint, as directed by this exciting video.
In the meantime, Cappy remains landlocked. Girlfriend continues to look after the grandson, we wait with baited breath the onslaught of work events regarding our futures, and of course life continues with the major transportation duties. Doesn't leave much for exciting blogging. After college starts I've gotta fill up more time with more tech. Have time now, but it's in little cut up bits and pieces. Ran into a friend from the old neighborhood who has also been a long time DBA. If he can go up the hill for more certification, so can I.
I do miss the excitement with the girlfriend from the recent past. That Eagles concert seems like ages ago.

The MSM is Wrecking My Life
Namely, ABC by putting The Goode Family on Friday at 8:30 PM. That moves my precious drinking adult time this summer about 1 - 1.5 hours later at the MartiniBar. A less fun, more surly crowd arrives then, just full of piss and vinegar to slam the counter and proclaim fealty to The One and to the Democrat Party of Cuyahoga County. That's Cuyahoga, with a hog. In particular, Commissoner Jimmy DiMora. As the hog. Like there's another party to vote for here.
This may make it easier to cope. Not the song. The scene.

The Pale Stale Ale
For the pale stale male. That would be me right now. Not too much of that beer, or any other either. Work is stale, waiting for shoes to drop. Girlfriend taking care of her grandson, who is a great kid. Most of my time taking the papoose to and from job, then will take her to college in August. Pretty stale. Yup.
