Not Much, but look at this!
Not much to post. Kid's out of town and I'm on the hunt. Meanwhile, enjoy the finest.

Cleaned up the blog a little, getting rid of defuncit links and adding new ones. Check out the additional hot babes! Also, OSU as a separate section. It rules!

Finally landed on a fantasy football league. Draft is on August 21st, barely early enough to fool around with the rankings. This year is remarkably simple: he who gets LaDanian Tomlinson wins. Maybe same with Peyton Manning. A nice summer otherwise. Lotta taking the kid around all over the place. Last week's on call was extremely easy, because we are great. Next one isn't for three months.

Friday PM Kumbiyah
Don't forget, gang, that Kumbiyah isn't only for our retarded friends in the media. Yes, it has valuable uses in Information Systems. Like, mostly when blowhard proponent of new methodology or dupe of sales asshats doesn't test, and the process fucks up royally in production. Just wait until Friday afternoon, convene an emergency conference call, and roast weenies on the campfire to instill that good ol' team spirit to take the hill and make your turkey look good. Yes, by holding hands and chanting we are all in this together for a marathon phonein bail-my-ass out meeting you can cover your stpidity and laziness with team spirit, and really put one over on the company!

Just returned from downstate, where I dropped the kid off for an exciting (?) weekend with her friends. Easy Rider is on the tube. Young Dennis Hopper looked even more crazed in real life than as an older cartoon on King of the Hill. Had lunch at The Waffle House on the way back, one of the very few north of US-40. One of the few places you can get hash browns 24/7.

Suck It!

Blogging now, since I'm waiting at home for the gas co. to show up and inspect the meter. Their idiot subcontractor couldn't keep an appointment or follow simple scheduling software, so after screaming at enough guys they're going to send out a real employee! They needed to offshore this job, since everyone knows it's always better overseas and it's just another job Americans won't do and are genetically inferior about doing. Like Database Administration and programming for instance. Blogging now instead of working from home because the powers that be want asses in seats for those stupid Americans. Not like the trustworthy subalterns on the subcontinent, where merry Keebler elves work all the time cheap cheap cheap of course without any need for line o'sight supervision
Middle sister's move to bigtown continues underway. I think she's overwhelmed. A couple of these blew up on her and rent is a lot more than in this here collapsed real estate market.
KOTH football league may be collapsing. Only me and Dang ol' Boomhauer have teams.

Underway
The great 2007 Fantasy Football season is underway. Draft day is August 2, and it's a league of KOTH fans. I tell you whut.
Continuing batchellor weekend of (once again) fobbing off household chores and chowing down on red meat (take that, hippies!) I wandered off today to see "Knocked Up". Not bad. I can relate. Not to being knocked up, but to those guys in the movie. Party on!

Hammered
Is where I'm going, tonight. It's bachellor weekend! Yippee! And the reason I'm getting hammered is because my kid hammered me with the cell phone charges! We need a new plan. I like the one where she goes to work full time to pay for this. Ha ha ha.

Once Again, Celebrate the 4th
I'll be enjoying the celebration of America tonight watching fireworks and grilling. Also enjoyed the opportunity to give my opinion about the good old USA to my daughter, who is facing 10th grade (anti) American History. Luckily for her she has become more religiously oriented, and has made friends with some kids whose families came here for freedom from the disgusting old USSR. She explained the me the tedious hate-America crap in some of her optional reading this year, and asked my opinion of it. For me, it's simple. On the one hand, one can enjoy the rights of Americans as known throughout our history, guarded by the brave men and women of our armed forces. This includes the right to read and speak as one wishes, to worship as one choses, in peace and security. On the other hand, as promoted by those that hate America is the European land which my father left, where his reward for serving his country was to have his best friend and his brother lynched.
The choice is obvious.
