Pearl Harbor Day

When in Hawaii I visited the Arizona Memorial. One can read about and see documentaries about the Pearl Harbor attack, but even seeing the memorial platforms brings it much closer. The oil is still leaking from the Arizona, 66 years later. It's gives pause to think about the price paid for our freedom.

Today at shul the Rabbi also spoke about Pearl Harbor and gave prayers for our Armed Forces and their victory. I know this has brought grief to those that are eager to forget the lessons of 9/11, let alone events more than 50 years ago. Those eager to forget bring a lot of damage to America and to those that love freedom everywhere. Their voices can't be allowed to drown out those that treasure freedom and support our men and women that fight to maintain it.
