Oh yeah, it's very real. Change control is in control. Here's a word from our eager and despirate production support teams, and even more eager project managers:

Lucky me. I get this the first week of enforcement. More whining too. Also, need to gage when to get off my flabby DBA ass and get into some new technology. I can do it, but it won't be roll over in bed, mumble a few soft words to Production Support and all is well any more. Too much like real work.
