Nuke Vermont!

Somebody had to say it!

Back to normal, or at least as close to it as I get. Been talkin' with the guru wizards of the Vendor and believe we have that bug isolated and about to get squished for good. Yay me! Now to enjoy a brewski tonight and decompress. Meeting with Natasha later in the week. Hope she's good looking. Seems to be stacked, if pictures don't lie. If not, I'll just con her into saying "Moose and Squirrel", then leave.

Six Sigma? I prefer Delta Tau Chi!

How does a nice boy from Chagrin Falls pick up a south of I-70 accent? No. I wasn't Larry Kroger. Much.

Still under a Strategic Air Command level emergency alert at work but our fix last night seems to have made things better. Only tomorrow will tell. It's Sunday afternoon, but the internal clock says it's Satrday mid-morning. As well as tick-tock. Now the hard part. Once it's all better and put to bed must.. not.. make.. wisecrack.. about.. Six.. Sigma.. making.. it.. all.. better.. on.. problem.. resolution.. paperwork. Six Sigma. More than a methodology, more than a way of life. It's employment for a Greek letter that has been underused since the heyday of Animal House.

Blogging during an all-hams-on-deck egermency e-lert takes skill and poise! So I'm doing it! Big high severity rescue underway. We're taking the vendors advice right now. All that chain-chasing is under the covers. Not like back in the day. Oh well, one weekend shot in about 3 years isn't a life-bending disaster.

My sister will be winging back to the ole' hometown this weekend. For good. It will be good to have her back, although I could do with less Kumbiyah. I'll be flying off to exciting New York City as my daughter visits colleges there in an attempt to graduate early from High School. Unfortunately, the ex will be in tow. It's great to be motivated at an early age. I sure wasn't as a youngster. Meanwhile, I continue to surf distractely the Yahoo personals, replete with babes from various forme Eastern Block countries.

Early afternoon, waiting for the NFC and AFC freeze-em-off championships to commence. Watching Airplane currently. Just cleared the Ethel Merman gag.

Spent most of yesterday with my kid, and the ex will be immobile into the middle of next week. This will be 6 weeks of this kind of stuff, which really plays hob with the spare time and other stuff. It's necessary but all the same irritating. Also irritating is the ex has attached herself to the NYC college visit in March. Probably the only saving grace there is if it gets too bad I can always peel off and see something by myself. There's lots to see, I hear.

Finals week is upon my offspring and she's meeting it with attitude, dude. As always. Her mom has been released once again on an unsuspecting public. Looks like my daughter is very serious about graduating HS 1 year early and it also looks like NYC is the target. So I'll probably be off to merry old Manhattan in late March. Poifect timing, nu? Or maybe play Kumbiyah with my sisters in Chicago via Indiana. I know bloggers in both places, so the authoritahs will probably be armed and ready. Man, life really slows down at times like these.

The kid is home from NYC and I'm enjoying the day off and waiting for the minor league bowl games to go forward before the ultimate, final, and decisive triumph of OSU
in the BCS. Time to let the Illini have their fun and let the cheesheads rampage
Still have coughing jags but sleeping pretty well. Daughter had a great time in New York and now has to face the music on homework, today. Also has to start driving. This late PM taking her to see her mom an back is killing me. She did get hustled by a couple of assholes in Times Square that sold her a blank CD of their "rap". Don't forget, you can't spell crap without rap. I'm going to have sources in the big city track they down (I'z speakin' they talk now) and they gonna make good on a real CD.
