Reality Bites
And today it bit my daughter. She came face to face with her mother's rotten and vicious refusal to sign a scholarship request for her. There was no reason for this. It looks like mom's love and concern for my daughter only extends to things that cost me money. This is the fault of my ex and all her collaborators, including those at my kid's school.

My attorney says that this is important but not important enough to make a change. What would cause a change, in the view of Domestic Relations court?

No word on any replacement for me in my old role at work. This proves once again that Cappy is irreplacable! I'm just too good to be true! Lots more drama on the ex-wife scene this week. Honk honk. Why, it's Wobbles the Goose!

Lots more pressure through clergy to give up my time with my daughter. This is really getting ugly. These were the same people who screwed around with her Bat Mitzvah!

Hah. Enough martinis and reruns of King of the Hill can make CaptainSQL forget about the threats of mentally unbalanced ex-wives. And the martinis were at $5 happy hour rates! Fooled around with spiffy GUI report language today and interviewed a replacement for my old position. Lotsa bigtime GUI fun for Cappy in the future, you bet! Whinemeal, projects lurch on.

The ex threatened to claim abuse unless I handed my daughter over to one of her friends. I regret taking my kid to visit her mom in the hospital during February and March. My own mother was dying then and I should have been with her.

Still no replacement for me in the old capacity (as if anyone could replace me!) but am starting to pile up the new assisgnments. This makes for one busy Captain SQL at work. Assignment #1 - fending off software salesmen!

A good weekend with my daughter here. She's doing great. Things OK at work, although they're dragging feet with my replacement. Still, plenty of stuff to get into. Bought The Incredibles this weekend. They were ... Incredible.

Life continues to go on. My kid is with me this weekend and it's been OK. Moving forward slowly at work. Not much anger, a little tiredness. Did get together with the girlfriend the weekend before this, and plan to do same next weekend.
